Select "PDF to Word", upload your PDF, then click "Convert to Word". PdfDocShift uses LibreOffice to extract text and layout, producing an editable .docx file. Complex layouts (tables, columns, images) are preserved as closely as possible, though some manual clean-up may be needed for heavily formatted PDFs.

The maximum file size is 50 MB per file. This covers the vast majority of everyday PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and images. If your file is larger, try compressing it first or splitting it into smaller parts.

PdfDocShift uses Tesseract — the world's leading open-source OCR engine — to add an invisible text layer to each page. The result is a fully searchable PDF where you can select and copy text.
Yes. Select "Protect PDF", upload your PDF and enter a password (minimum 4 characters). PdfDocShift applies 128-bit RC4 encryption via Ghostscript. The resulting PDF will require the password to open, print or copy. Keep your password safe — PdfDocShift does not store it.
