Yes. The password protection prevents opening, printing and copying text from the PDF. Anyone who receives the file will need the password to access it.

PdfDocShift does not store passwords — they are never retained after the job completes. Keep your password safe. If lost, you may be able to remove it with our Unlock PDF tool if you have owner permissions.

Yes. Passwords must be at least 4 characters long. We recommend using a strong password of 12+ characters with a mix of letters, numbers and symbols.
